Wunderman China announces the appointment of Kent Lee to the role of General Manager of their Beijing office.  Lee will report to Bryce Whitwam, CEO of Wunderman China, and will be responsible for driving the overall strategic direction and client relationships of the Beijing agency.

K2 Kung, previously Managing Director of Wunderman Beijing and Guangzhou, will be promoted to Managing Director, South China, based in Guangzhou.  Through Kung’s efforts, Wunderman Guangzhou has seen a 30% year on year growth, largely due to the office’s expansion into Shenzhen-based tech clients.

“K2 is one of the most dynamic and experienced integrated marketing experts in China,” said Whitwam.  “His experience, passion and commitment has made him an instrumental part of our leadership team, and is key to our strategy to help Chinese brands go abroad under “One Belt, One Road. He truly exemplifies our mission to be an agency that is creatively driven and data inspired.”

Lee joins Wunderman from Weber Shandwick Beijing where he served as Vice President. His prior agency experience also includes Ogilvy and Wunderman.  He has also did a stint in the start-up world as Chief Strategist at IntPixel, a photo sharing app.

“Kent is a strategic, hands-on advertising practitioner with a strong understanding of the changes within China’s digital landscape,” said Whitwam. “His strong technology credentials will also help us further grow our Beijing-based technical clients, which include Microsoft and Dell.”

Lee and Kung will continue to assist in the growth and development of new, dynamic data, technology and social media products and services that are core to Wunderman’s business growth in China.
